Our teaching & learning principles:

Our approach to teaching and learning is evidence-informed, and is themed around the areas identified in the 'Great Teaching Toolkit' (GTT) from 'Evidence-Based Education'. Here you can see a summary of how our approach is aligned to the toolkit. If you'd like more information, please ask to speak to Mr Adams, our Deputy Principal, or read more about the GTT here.

Key statutory curriculum information:

Our systematic synthetic phonics scheme is Read Write Inc. Read more about early reading here.

Our school reading scheme is Oxford Reading Tree. This provides seamless progression from the end of Read Write Inc. Read more about early reading here.

More information can be obtained about our curriculum by using the sub-menu to explore each subject in detail. Year group overviews are provided in the overview above.
