Earrings:
In the interests of health and safety, Foundation Stage pupils should not wear any form of earring or ear studs when attending school. We must, therefore, request that if your child has pierced ears that you remove their earrings or studs when coming to school.
Key Stage 1 & 2 children should only wear one pair of small, plain stud earrings. If your child cannot remove their own earrings please remove their earrings or studs before coming to school.

Make Up & Nail Varnish:
Makeup and cosmetics are not considered appropriate or consistent with our school uniform and therefore should not be worn.
Nail varnish, gel nails or false nails should not be worn in school.

PE Kits:

On PE days, children are required to either bring in, or come to school wearing, a PE kit composed of the following, which are all required items:

  • PLAIN White T-shirt (Not football shirts, strappy vest tops, T-shirts with logos etc.)
  • Black shorts or joggers
  • Suitable footwear (e.g. trainers)

Children are allowed to come into school in their PE Kit on PE days so they can have much time for their lessons as possible. This MUST be a Hardwick Green PE Kit and not just a tracksuit or other sport clothes. Your child’s class teacher will let you know hen their PE days are. We have two PE lessons a week, wherever possible, to allow children to take part in as much physical activity as possible.

Buying uniform:

Branded items are not required at all and we have no items that can only be purchased from a specific retailer.

Most items can be bought for reasonable price from large suppliers such as Tesco or Matalan. If you would like uniform with a logo on (and please remember that this isn’t a requirement) then the cheapest option is MyClothing - https://myclothing.com/. If you enter our school name on there you will see all of the items available to purchase directly from them. This includes items such as PE bags and Book Bags. Otherwise, shops such as Tesco and Matalan provide cheap school uniform that matches our colours.

Hardwick Baptist Church also regularly hold events to give away good condition second-hand uniforms for school. They can be contacted by messenger on their Facebook page.
